About NorDx

NorDx is a not-for-profit clinical laboratory based in Scarborough, Maine. Established in 1976 as the first licensed independent laboratory in Maine, NorDx has grown to provide comprehensive, dependable, quality laboratory services to hospitals, physicians, long-term care providers, other laboratories and health care organizations throughout Northern New England. NorDx is part of MaineHealth, a not-for-profit integrated health system whose vision is, “Working together so our communities are the healthiest in America.”

Superior quality, efficient service

We are committed to supporting our partners in health care by providing superior quality and cost-effective laboratory services which emphasize customer satisfaction, value, innovation, technology and exceptional service. We manage and execute all aspects of diagnostic analyses thoroughly, accurately and efficiently. Laboratory results are used in approximately 70% of decisions involved in the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of any given illness.

As a not-for-profit regional laboratory, NorDx does not focus on the needs of shareholder equity. Rather, we are an integral part of the local health care community and remain committed to maximizing integration and comparability of laboratory data.
